Trails in good condition.
On Boott Spur Trail there is a tree across most of the trail but there is room to squeeze by.
Some bridges on the Boott Spur Trail at about 3,400' are deteriorating. I was able to use these these bridges to some extent. All other bog bridges on the Boott Spur Trail were fine. The ladder on the Boott Spur Trail is in good condition.
The rock stairs on the Tuckerman Ravine Trail are helpful. |

| Comments: |
Most of the rock surfaces were dry today. This made for sure footing. There are some wet ledges on the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. Exercise caution in these short sections.
I enjoyed the walk across Bigelow Lawn on the Davis Path.
There is construction work at the summit. The observation deck was closed to the public.
Saw Boott Rattlesnake-root, sandwort, alpine golden rod on the Boott Spur Trail. Saw Mountain Avens, Arnica, Aster, Northern Meadowsweet, Great Angelica, and Indian Poke in the wet areas on the headwall area of Tuckerman Ravine. Saw Orange Hawkweed near Hermit Shelter.
Lots of hikers and tourists out today. Met two youth camp groups. |
