Date of Hike: Saturday, August 5, 2023
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 4th car there this morning but most of the crowds headed to the 4k’s. Only saw 3 people up top and 5 plus a dog on the way down. Parking area was full when we returned. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossbill either using the bridges, rock hopping, or using the edge of the trail with hiking poles if you really hated to get feet wet!  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Overall good runoff area. Worst spots were near the summit where there really was nowhere for the rain from yesterday to go to other based upon topography 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only saw one dog on a mission today! 
Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad most of the time but stopping = a swarm of mosquitoes within a minute, even with bug spray.

Comments: Great day for a hike! Definitely advise doing the counterclockwise loop. The summit itself does not have great views but go beyond the 3 or 4 boulders (small trail is there if you look for it) out to a ledge having an unobstructed view looking south.
