Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easy to rock hop. Didn't even get the tops of my feet wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of blow downs, but easy to crawl over and under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few happy and friendly dogs. There are two technical spots I could see challenging for dogs. One is around mile 6.5 heading up to Bond Cliff and one heading up to Mount Bond.
Bugs
Bugs: No bugs today since it was 72 and had a bit of a breeze. Perfect hiking weather.

Comments
Comments: Such an amazing trail. We got parking in the lot at 7am and hiked 23 miles total and it took 14 hours. Only needed a headlamp for the last half hour. The bridge, 2 mile mark, is still out. It's been at least 3 years. We rock hoped over to the other side. The first 5 miles is pretty flat. Very muddy around 4th mile. All water crossings were easy to rock hop across. Tip: get your iconic picture on Bond Cliff from both sides of the cliff.
The ridge over to Mount Bond was breathtaking. You can see your where you are going and where you came. I wouldn't want to hike across it in the rain or storm. The hike up has lots of loose rocks so be careful. Mount Bond is a perfect place for lunch. Going over to West Bond, plan on going down, down, down then up, up, up. There is also a lot of mud. The summit is small, but breathtaking a definite must.
This trail has a little bit of everything; water crossing, hand over hand climbing, mud, bouldering, flats, bridges, views. Reminds me a lot of Franconia Ridge.
Enjoy!
