I do want to say how much I "love" the hiking "community". Not only did all of the mosquitoes who were out yesterday return today to accompany me, they also brought all of their friends. That was so kind of them! :D |

More wandering, exploring, and field checking trails at Pisgah State Park. Today was about an even mix of road walking and actual hiking.
Not too much to report on this one. Everything was mainly dry with just a few isolated spots of mud. Lots of ATV traffic on dusty roads where they are permitted. Everyone I encountered was cool and respectful about sharing the routes.
I think we need some kaiju-sized dragonflies to take care of the mosquitoes. |
