| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Excellent parking (paid) at Glen Ellis Falls trailhead. The crew was there filling in pot holes on Monday. There was a bathroom here also but I did not see the inside. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
I brought crocs and did not need them, as there was only one minor crossing easily rock hopped. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blow downs near North Isolation. Two trees have led to people making new trail go-arounds. People have also put big branches over the thick mud as some kind of make-your-own bog board. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I met four great dogs, all of whom looked to be in top physical condition. |
| Bugs: |
No bug issues. |

| Comments: |
I camped at the wilderness campsite in the triangle area of trail a short ways before Mount Isolation. It is a small area with a fire ring and only two or so flat areas. I was the only camper Sunday night. I did not make a fire. A kind hiker had left a trail report saying there were many water sources. This didn't work out so well for me as most of them were now only scant puddles or trickles. I brought water and also got some at the Spring located in the upper wooded section of the Glen Boulder trail. Also due to helpful trail reports, I decided to take Glen Boulder trail both ways for my journey. There are a lot of big rocks and amazing views to keep that trail exciting. The alpine zone was very impressive. Lot of work for this summit but it forces you to appreciate things. |
