|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
One walkover on Unknown Pond trail, several on Killkenney Ridge Trail. Very doable for most people but after today's rain it may be very difficult. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Unknown pond trail is in very good shape, one blown down - an easy walk-over.
The Killkenney Ridge trail is overgrown in sections, the log crossings are pretty run down and nonexistent in places, but I love the wildness of it. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great trail for dogs. Saw quite a number of adorable fur buddies along the way. |
|
| Bugs: |
None. It's the first time I didn't need a bug net. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
None |

Just some notes on the campground. The outhouse is in terrible condition. This is the 4th time I have stayed at this campground and the outhouse has always been clean and odor-free. Unfortunately, it was dirty, things that shouldn't have been in the pot were dumped in there, the odor was horrible, and there were no chips in the bag.
Someone abandoned a broken Coleman stove on the outhouse stairs and left their paper plates and plastic as well.
In addition, someone made an unsafe fire in the woods (no rocks to prevent spread, and located directly under trees).
I was very happy to see that a bear box was added since the last time I camped here.
It is still my favorite place to camp and I hope people will be considerate so we don't lose this beautiful remote sanctuary.
