many rivulets step over or rocks for stepping stones... |

quite a few blowdowns to step over and climb over after the trail starts up off the logging roads..trail needs some TLC drainages etc..saw a FS hiker on his off day and he said he would notify, hope it works out!! some spots of encrouching whips and berry bushes etc |

skeeters bad early; small black flies and some skeeters later, biting!! no ticks detected though grassy areas on the FS road.. |

Nice view day to get to Eastman and then Baldface Knob (for some reason I call it Bald Knob guess I need to remember it's Baldface Knob!!) Enjoy this somewhat gentle approach on the grassy logging road and not many steep spots once off the road..seems SB Trail from this side is getting more use, saw about 10 hikers... |
