Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: No issues. Yesterday morning there were about 10 cars at around 7:30 when we set off on the two-day backpacking adventure. When we returned this morning around 10:00, I think there were only about 6 cars.
Surface Conditions

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are definitely many chances to cross water but all manageable, especially with hiking poles to assist with balance on the final major crossing of Charles Brook about 30 minutes from the trailhead. Lots of mud this morning on Baldface Cirle Trail after the thunderstorms that came through last night... Embrace the mud!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: feel like there could be a little better drainage down low. There are also some old blowdowns but they are easily circumvented.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a couple out there enjoying the day yesterday!
Bugs
Bugs: Tons, but with a lot of bug spray, they are kept at bay for the most part.

Comments
Comments: Went on a two-day backpacking trip with the nephew and the weather could not have been better, even with the thunderstorms last night that rolled through once we had already turned in. The views were amazing and it really surprised me there were not more people out enjoying these trails and peaks (probably saw only about 40-50 people all day). Could see over to Mt. Washington, down to Chocarua and beyond, and of course way into Maine. Met a really great couple over on Eastman (first people we saw after starting around 7:30) and some other individuals and groups that once again confirmed that great people hike!!! These four peaks are definitely worthy of being on the 52 With a View list!!!
