We parked at the intersection of Panorama Lane and Bear Mountain Road and walked to the trail. Bear Mountain Road has seen some significant erosion in the past couple of weeks, and is probably now impassable except for high-clearance 4WD, for the half mile north of the trailhead. The road has not been in such poor condition for at least a decade. |

Trail is now brushed from Bear Mountain road to the summit, and the two new large duckunder blowdowns delimbed and nearby mess cleaned up -- they're fine now, left as duckunders. |

A quick walk up to Sugarloaf from the west, with some trail clean-up. The weather was lovely, and we saw no one except on Bear Mountain Road, not too far from where we parked. |
