Comments: Margaret and I finished our 52 WAV list together this afternoon. She is a few days shy of 5 years, 9 months old:) What an amazing mountain and fantastic route. Thank you Steve Smith for recommending Cliff Walk-it is an amazing trail and we saw no hikers until the summit. When you get a recommendation from the guidebook guy-you should probably listen:) Only about a dozen people up top and saw no one on the descent. Weather was amazing with crazy cloud action and a nice breeze. Trails were shockingly dry the entire route-almost no mud to speak of. We really enjoyed the scrambling up White Arrow to reach summit and the Smith Summit trail was awesome as well with tons of views and ledges. Bald Rock and Monte Rosa sub-peaks were both excellent spots. The Mossy Brook Trail is well-named and a really magical piece of woods-one of my favorite woods trails I have hiked in a long, long time. Overall just an amazing loop and I highly recommend all these trails. I told Margaret it would be a long time before we would be able to acquire our patches, and her face lit us like a Christmas tree when I surprised her with them at the summit (another thank you to Steve for the stealth patch handoff a few days ago). Margaret and I both agreed we look forward to exploring the rest of this mountain. Now on to finish her 4K's!!!
