	Date of Hike:	Wednesday, August 16, 2023

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Sign in / out at main office. Unsure if parking on property is allowed.

	Surface Conditions:	Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	A few small streams that can be rock-hopped. Even with all the rain we've had the worst you could expect is a boot full of water and zero current issues

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	Bog bridges in serious need of replacement. Brushing in a few areas would be nice. I'm not sure if Camp Walt Witman maintains this trail or not as the trailhead is on their property.

	Dog-Related Notes:	Didn't see any. There is only one area near the summit that could be tough for Fido. Other than that it's OK.

	Bugs:	Mossies and black flies. When it was raining they were quiet. When the rain stopped they came out. A hat and a little bug spray did the job.

	Lost and Found:	Nothing


	Comments:	The trailhead for this peak is on Camp Walt Witman property. There is an easement, aka they have to give the general public access to it, but you need sign in at the main office. And, sign out when you leave. The trail was wet as we had downpours on and off all day. The footing is generally not too bad with the exception of the mud. Some of the mud patches were deep as well as very slippery. Worse than ice in some spots IMO. The bog bridges need some TLC to control these mud pits. There's a blowdown near the summit was easily stepped over / around but should be cleared. No views today from the summit but still a fun day out in the woods and mountains.
