| Comments: |
Beautiful summits with great views on all four peaks. Rock slabs between Piper and Whiteface were wet and took some thought on footing, stuck to the sides when possible and found dry spots here and there. Bear scat in the middle of the trail just past the Piper Mt summit. Caution tape is around the equipment for the fire tower work on Belknap Mt, had to squeeze by the tape to get through to the other side, but not an issue since there were no workers or equipment being used on the weekend. There is also caution tape on Gunstock Mt around the newly planted grass where they have been doing work all summer, still able to get around for the views though. Overall, a great hike! |
