Parking 1 minute from trail head under the power lines in a small dirt lot on Bangor Street in Gorham. At 9 am on a Saturday I felt lucky to get one of the last spots, even if it was in a giant puddle. |

| Comments: |
Trail could use some water bars but overall the trail is in good condition.
This trail up and back took me 6 hours total for the 4.5 miles each way. The first part of the trail was an uphill dirt path with few rocks. After that there are some delightful rock slabs that form paths and also ledges. There are some steep sections with fun rocks to climb up. The trail is strenuous but not difficult. I got passed by some elementary age kids who looked like it was all a walk in the park. The summit has a rock with nice views. Many people there today enjoying lunch as the clouds put on a show. We did have some days of rain recently which must have contributed to the significant amount and depth of mud and puddles above the halfway point. Or maybe this trail never really dries out! |
