Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossing of the Rocky Branch by the old shelter site is running pretty high.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Rocky Branch is a disaster from where it turns onto the old road at 2850' to the crossing. Lots of mud and shin-deep water and needs some brushing-out. I got sick of rock-hopping with branches slapping me in the chest and gave up on making it to Isolation to work on my section and just worked Rocky Branch. Opened up 50+ drainages and did some minor brushing where it was the worst. It's still going to be a mudfest but hopefully some parts will drain out a bit.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: A couple of skeeters out but not really a problem even without bug dope.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a Zoku water bottle by the Rocky Branch crossing with a cup of plain water in it. I'm guessing somebody lost it during the winter and it took a ride down the river in the spring. Scratched up but otherwise in pretty good shape--let me know and we can arrange a handoff.
