Hiking Trail Conditions Report
	Peaks	North Twin Mountain, NH

	Trails:	North Twin Trail

	Date of Hike:	Sunday, August 20, 2023

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Packed lot upon arrival around 145pm- cars lined up on the side of the road for at least a quarter of a mile. I managed to snag the only open spot in the lot from an early departure

	Surface Conditions:	Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	Rock-hopped across without much difficulty, though others with shorter legs and/or less confidence may end up with wet feet

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	Cleared a couple of annoying knee-high stepovers, left a couple ground-level ones for another day

	Dog-Related Notes:	Saw a few happy pups out living their best life!

	Bugs:	Nothing of consequence today- only a couple moths buzzing around my headlamp on the way out!

	Lost and Found:	Saw two hats (at two different spots) hanging from a branch on my way up, both were gone upon my return.


	Comments:	Trailwork day today- wanted to get out and see how the drainages have been holding up with all of the rain we've gotten this summer. Happy to report that most of them were in decent shape, though a few needed some attention- and a few spots have been identified to put in some new drainage features to help prevent further erosion of the trail!
