Comments
Comments: Wanted to get some trail tracing in, however the higher summits forecast looked pretty sketchy…so we headed for something a bit lower and and less exposed to the elements. This worked out well and we looped around at the end back to the car. Trail description in the book is accurate -mud and wet in the lower sections. I suspect there was actual extra mud and wet given the year of weather we have had. The AT/J Trail was a bit of a mud fest in spots. At the end (NOBO)of the AT/J Trail someone has been doing some impressive stonework to remedy the mud. Pretty quite overall -only six other folks and they were either at the top or heading up the AT/J Trail as we were headed down.
