Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at Ethan Pond Trail off Ripley Falls Road off Route 302. Room for about 10-12 cars.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing at the start of the Avalon Trail is flowing, but easily crossed in several areas via rock hop.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Bottom of the ladders on the Willey Range Trail are deteriorating with three rungs missing.

Comments: Soppy hike filled with solitude. Best part of this route is how much time you can gain going from Field to Tom. Got caught in thunderstorm going down Tom so opted not to do out-and-back and instead got caught in a downpour on the road walk/redlining route back to my car.
