Comments
Comments: First day of my “Modified” Presi Traverse— Adams, Madison, Jefferson, Clay, Washington, Monroe, and then divert to Davis Path to climb Mt Isolation and then out to Pinkham. Although fairly crowded on Sunday, the weather started to break on Sunday and views started to open up. For anyone considering a day hike or multi day hike, I liked the route up recommended to me by the USFS volunteer at the trailhead, going up Valley Way to the Bruin cutover to Air Line where you get stunning views down into the gulf and all the way up to Adams. Looping over the top using Star Lake trail is a great option to see down the other side to the South and East and then proceed past hut and up Madison. I stayed in Madison Hut Sunday night, which can be a bit chaotic but I had great conversations with thru hikers and section hikers there; “Daisy”, “Coach”, “Mishap” and others. Great volunteer naturalist that evening too.
