Both Dry River crossings were rock hops. The pond was overflowing out onto the trail just before Greenleaf Hut but could still be done as a rock hop. |

What a day to above treeline! I had done the loop 2 years ago but the clouds never lifted, well worth going back for. Shining Rock looked like an inviting slip and slide and is worth the 5-10 minute detour. Lot of people up there but never felt like it was too many. |
