Comments
Comments: Despite the last couple of dry days, trails were still wet and muddy. Cascade Brook Trail and Kinsman Pond Trail were probably the worst due to stretches of trail that are essentially brooks (basically rock hopping). Plenty of slippery rocky and mud on the other listed trails as well.

High elevation birch are starting to get a yellow tint.

Initially a quiet start, particularly on the Kinsman Pond Trail, but things were busy on the ridge, at the hut, and into the Basin in the afternoon. Worst part was, there were no baked goods remaining at the hut.

Nice late summer day with temperatures in the 70s and partly sunny skies.
