getting full but still spaces at 9:30am on a long weekend. By the time we were back down at 2:30, there were several spots opening up |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
easy to rock hop |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
looking good |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
ugh. People! Either a leash, or tight voice control! How tedious to have so many dogs obstructing my path or nervously jumping/lunging while their owners assure me "he's friendly." The dogs are fine, but their owners can be so very oblivious to their own dogs' emotional states, and to those of the other people on the trail. |
| Bugs: |
not a problem, but we were wearing bug spray |

| Comments: |
Busy day on the ridge and lots of friendly folk about. West side of ridge and Mt. Kinsman trail were a good option as Franconia Notch was filling up very full even by 9am. |
