| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Very muddy in sections. This trail sees a lot of “sneaker” traffic from folks “hiking” to Lake Solitude from Mountain Road or down to the ledges from the tram on the summit of Sunapee. No one wants to get their shiny new sneakers dirty, right? Trail maintenance crews have their work cut out for them on this trail as this type of traffic leads to significant widening damage of the trails. A huge thanks to whoever the decision makers and influencers in the North Country and the Monadnock Region have been over the years. Sunapee and Kearsarge are great examples of just how bad things could have been for the rest of the state, if the right people hadn’t been involved in slowing or stopping the over development of our mountains and precious forests. |
