| Comments: |
Lower Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail had some wet spots and minor mud, but wasn't terrible. It is a shame they're going to abandon this stretch; I think the washout could be mitigated with stone and/or logs. Not looking forward to the circuitous relo being built above it.
Some wet ledges on the Ammo above the pool. High elevation birch are starting to turn gold/brown.
Fairly dry above treeline, but also crowded. Some folks tramping on the alpine vegetation.
Cog Rail Trail was dry, but also loose. Poles would be helpful.
Warm late summer day with temperatures climbing from the 60s to about 80 at the base. Occasional summit cloud, but otherwise sunny and hazy. |
