Comments
Comments: I haven't hiked this trail in maybe 10 years, and don't remember as much erosion as I saw today. Not sure if it was recent from a wet summer, or incremental over time...or a poor memory.

Socked in conditions in the morning, so no views from observation deck. As we headed back down the clouds lifted and blue skies moved in around 12:30pm for some good views. We tried to spy flags on Franconia Ridge summits, but couldn't see them. Thanks to the couple who flew the flag on Cannon (Flags on the 48).

Saw about a dozen or so people while on trail/up top. Congrats to a 48 4k finisher who celebrated up top, and the UMass Amherst guy who summited his first 4k on Cannon today!
