Parked at the Basin lot to get Cannon for my season grid and complete the section of the AT from the Pemi Trail to Lonesome Lake. Typical late summer conditions. Some mud, some water, nothing too bad. Cool temps, no bugs. Hi-Cannon was pretty wet towards the top. I opted to go up Kinsman Ridge and down Hi-Cannon this time, after going the previous way the first time I bagged Cannon. This is definitely my preferred way. I'd rather go up all those boulder scrambles on Kinsman Ridge than down. Saw lots of folks out enjoying the trails. |
