Drove up Whitcomb Road to the first brook crossing and parked there. Down low I had to contend with significant logging regrowth which I was able to mostly avoid by walking up the streambed. I pivoted to the ridge and ascended Middle Whitcomb first, then followed the ridge to South Whitcomb through mostly open woods. On the way back, I tried to go around the subpeak between Middle and South Whitcomb and hit scrappy woods that slowed me down. Total mileage was ~4.5mi. |
