I parked near the height of land on Corser Brook Road and waded through bogs, recent logging cuts, and very thick hardwood regrowth to the unnamed logging road across the valley along the side of Black Mtn. From there, I followed the ridge up, staying in mature woods and avoiding as much logging as I could. Woods were mostly open but there was a lot of deadfall. Near the summit, the woods got scrappy. Like most peaks in this area, the summit is very flat, making finding the cannister an adventure. I eventually did find it. Missed my line on the way down and got stuck in overgrown logging roads with lots of thick brambles. The amount of logging regrowth I encountered made this peak much more difficult than I expected. |
