Comments
Comments: I drove up Flume Brook Road to the highpoint and parked there. Followed the ridge up to ~3000' through initially logging regrowth then varying open and scrappy woods. From ~3000', I followed along the face of Cave Mtn. to check out the massive rock sticking above the trees that you can see from the height of land on Flume Brook Road. Some good views can be had from that point. I continued along the face of the mountain to the top of the massive, sloping ledge from where you can get some good, slightly different views. From there, I bushwhacked up to the recognized highpoint through varying open and scrappy woods. I then descended along the ridge through mostly scrappy woods with some quite thick sections with numerous hidden deadfall.
