Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues crossing (except to be aware of anything with green being potentially slick - which I should know but needed reminding)
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No issues - some erosion on Amphibrach but have seen much worse and it seems flagged for work
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw no dogs all day (but few people too because of the lesser used trails)
Bugs: Just a few clouds of tiny white flies, non-biting
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Nicely maintained and marked trails. It looks like the Memorial Bridge will soon be renovated. Stringers and other lumber is stockpiled nearby and there is flagging to divert hikers across the river at the base of the falls just upriver (which would be a little tricky to cross as the water was a bit high - we crossed on the bridge). No trash on trails. Gray Knob Cabin had one overnight hiker, caretaker was on a hike; Crag Camp was empty
