This was my 48 finish and I had been dreading because of the water crossing. The new configuration of the trail makes it much more enjoyable and the first 2 miles is relatively flat and weaves along the river. There were areas of mud but not major and could easily get over.
Had the best day at both summits and met some outstanding hikers that joined our celebration.
The views are incredible on South Twin. Definitely happy I saved this for last even though it was not planned. |
