We hiked all around the summit cone of Jefferson. Great day in the northern presis! Weather much better and warmer than expected. Lots of people out summiting Jefferson or doing a presi traverse. Highlights were blueberries still in season, tons of mountain cranberries, a helicopter went over Clay and way down into the Great Gulf- never seen that before! And there was a flock of Robins at 5000 feet. Also saw some juncos, yellow-rumped warblers, boreal chickadee, yellow-crowned kinglets and blue jays also at 5000 feet. |
