Comments
Comments: Hiked BW many times in winter, and once up the access roads in late fall. This is the first time I used the designated summer hiking route. Nice gradual travel up the eastern slopes, then a traverse towards the Zephyr lift, and across to the ridge glades (snowshoe trail) between the summits. Lovely views from Oscar towards Hale, little Sugarloafs, Zealand, Tom, etc. Trail along the ridge was very pleasant and fun to hike. Views of the Presies and turning colors were great despite the haze. Cannot beat the lunch at the summit, bit pricy, but you get the views. Not too crowded, yet. Made the final climb to Rosebrook, including over the ledge to the RHP.
