Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 3 wooden foot bridges and one stone (flat closely placed boulders to make a foot path), then all other small streams were simply walk overs
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 2 OLD small blowdowns (easy to walk over)- they look like they have been here a little while :-) GORGE BROOK TRAIL of course has plenty of blazes as does the AT (GLENCLIFF TRAIL); however, we don't recall having seen any blazes on either SNAPPER or CARRIAGE- but of course the well-traveled trail is unmistakable :-) Great signage at the junctions :-)
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Met several lovely dogs... doges were loving the trails :-)
Bugs
Bugs: small patch of flies out near the brook (SNAPPER) at 1p but they didn't bother us.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Teal dog leash seen hanging at the sign west of the first bridge (below the DOC Lodge) on our way out

Comments
Comments: We love this mountain and unique summit :-) We did not take a loop option, rather, we went out and back: GORGE BROOK -> SNAPPER -> CARRIAGE ROAD -> GLENCLIFF TRAIL -> Then a side trip to SOUTH PEAK :-) Winds were as forecasted (about 20mph) at the summit. Lovely sun-filled day!
