Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: In the parking lot at 6 am, I met the eight year trail maintainer who is responsible for Glen Boulder Trail from the trailhead to Glen Boulder. He told me that he had recently met two new maintainers for the upper half of the trail. Some brushing and other trailwork had been done recently on both halves of the trail, with more to follow. Thank you maintainers! The water in the trail on Davis Path wasn't that bad between treeline and North Isolation. Hikers who had gone to Isolation said the trail south of N Iso is wet, muddy, and has broken bog bridges.

Comments
Comments: I delayed writing this report until after I completed a first trail work event with the Trailwrights on 9/30. I received confirmation from them that I did in fact find the summit of North Isolation. The Trailwrights do not place a canister on summits that are this close to a trail; the high point, such as it is, is within about 100 feet of the trail, depending on where you begin the bushwhack. There isn't exactly a herd path but some evidence that other people have been walking around the area. My GPS led me around and around in circles but kept coming back to near a small bump with a few 4 inch diameter trees on top and a larger tree on or next to it. It is just south of a large blowdown area. As others have stated, a good place to begin the bushwhack is near a height of land close to the place where the trail bears right/SW if hiking south.
