Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No water crossings, per se, but 2 small springs along the Cohos just north of Devil's Rest shelter were plentiful as camel up water sources.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: After getting past the logging roads, this trail was as lightly traveled but well blazed and maintained as anticipated and the reason we selected it. No other hikers and no obstructions. Leaves are starting to fall so next appreciable rain could make for slick conditions on the steeper ascent section of South Percy shoulder along the CT.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: 2 groups of folks had well behaved dogs on leash along the Loop Trail
Bugs
Bugs: Gnats in the Christine Lake parking lot, but nothing to speak of on the trail.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:

Comments
Comments: The Canadian fires had some effect on visibility - light haze at 20-25 miles.

For the peepers - The Beech are past peak. Maples are in peak. Birch still mostly green.
