| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the northern end of the road about 0.25mi from Rt 124 along what Gaia calls Troy Rd at first but soon turns to Monadnock Street. There's room for several cars in a gravel turnaround at the start of Red Mill Rd. One other car arrived shortly after us. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some very, very faded blue blaze along the road but not really needed or an established trail as far as I know. Easy to follow as it's a road. No blowdowns. There is no signage until the memorial sign for John Donovan (where we turned around) which I believe marks the official start of the Donovan Trail. |

| Comments: |
When a friend and I hiked a Monadnock-Gap Mtn traverse this past winter, it was not on our radar that this was road was technically needed for redlining as it's described with a distance so after hiking Monadnock earlier in the day, we decided to clean this up. This is an easy walk along a woods road for about a 1/2mi before you turn right into a field to access Donovan Trail (there's a sign on the opposite side of the field). We hiked to the sign. If you're looking for something scenic, note that there is a great little waterfall less than a tenth of a mile from the north end of the road. |
