Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Less than 1 mile from the trailhead is a concrete dam that is about 3' thick. In the middle is a 2.5' gap (large step) for a spillway that drops 10'. This is easy, but a bit unnerving for me. 19 mile brook trail has several stream crossings with logs that are all easily doable.
Trail Maintenance Notes

Comments
Comments: The descent to Carter Notch hut is impressively steep but nicely stepped. Everything else is typical White Mountains trails.
The weather was perfect with excellent 360 views on Mt. Hight. Carter Dome is a treed in summit, so the tiny extra effort for Mt. Hight along the away is well worth it.
