Comments
Comments: From the parking looking up the mountain we went to the right and crossed over the footbridge and followed the Valley work road to the top of the chairlift, walked up the snowshoe path that is directly above the lift along the stonewall. Nice walking but there is a good steep section and the snowshoe path leads all the way to the top of the Cascade Basin chairlift. Take a right and follow the herd path right to the top of Craney Hil and the fire tower. Sadly the town of Henniker has it all locked up and you can't even climb one flight of stairs. Meet a group of people out walking to the fire tower too. We returned on the ski area summit area and enjoyed nice views. Good day for a fall hike.
