I have been down for a while with back surgeries, 4 so far so we are looking for some easier hikes. Trying to work our way back up the the mountains. Missing that air at 4000 feet. :) We are not sure if this adventure covers 'Trail Conditions' or not. We did a search and found a report on it, so figure it is acceptable. If not please delete it. Most of what is in the woods to see is next to the parking and no distinct trails except for a couple easy trails towards the back and one of them leads to a tree fam with A LOT of trails (hikers are welcome). Bradford Springs and the once famous Bradford Springs Hotel is an interesting story of how a hotel became so popular due to a 'Healing Spring'. We walked through the whole area finding all the cellar holes and a couple more we didn't know about, they looked more like possible wells. Walking around is easy just watch the kiddos with the cellar hole and broken glass. Now if you want to try and find the spring, good luck, it's far from 'Family Friendly'. Did we locate it...Yes we did. We did post our usual video on YouTube for anyone that might be interested in seeing what the area is all about. |
