| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
We had three trail crews, from the Chatham Trails Association (CTA), on this route on Saturday 10/14. I was on the upper crew; we did level 1 maintenance on the Eastman spur and the upper third of Slippery Brook. Our second crew did level 1 maintenance on the lower 2/3 of Slippery Brook and also installed a new trail sign to try to keep descending hikers from accidentally heading down a bike trail just after a small brook crossing. Our third crew had our Trailmaster and he had the crosscut saw. He and his crew removed all of the major obstructing blowdowns on Slippery Brook. There two trails are now in pristine condition!! |

A total of 10 of us (three work crews) completed level 1 maintenance on Saturday. As a reward, most of us had lunch on Eastman (the views were great!) |
