Comments
Comments: The loop gets most of the hard work out of the way just before Noon Peak. After that it's fairly soft footing (for the Whites) and gentle gradient. Views start at Noon Peak and just keep on happening. All the peaks have outstanding vistas (including snow-covered Mt Washington). Descending on Drake's Brook required careful footing due to leaf-cover. The switch-backs were appreciated! Most of this trail is an old logging road that runs along the brook, easy hiking with delightful peeks at the cascades and pools. Overall, an enjoyable loop hike. 6.5 hrs to complete at my old-woman pace, with a stop on the Dome for lunch.
