| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lonesome Lake Trail is in fine shape.
Hi Cannon up to Dodge Cutoff is also in fine shape.
Hi Cannon between Dodge Cutoff and the ladder has 4 blowdowns that are new since the end of August. All are stepovers (one is awkward) and 3 are less than 8” diameter. The awkward one is at least 16” diameter.
Above the ladder, Hi Cannon is being reclaimed by conifers LOL so brushing might be helpful, at some point.
From the HI Cannon viewpoint to KRT and then KRT to the best trail sign in the WMNF is peppered by stretches of ankle deep mud (ask me how I know). There are herd paths around most of them, which makes me sad but did save me from freezing cold and wet feet on the way down. Hopefully next summer will be drier than this summer!! |
