Comments
Comments: Walked to the state forest main entrance on Summer Street (Route 104) and followed the old logging road to a short herd path (used to be an old logging landing, now overgrown), then on the old road up the hill to the trail start, then across the ridge for a nice, gentle traverse, and then down to North Main Street for the road walk back to the car. Trail is in decent shape -- sections near two large areas of recent logging are flagged in pink and easy to follow. Great views of Mt. Cardigan from one of the high points on the ridge, and then lower down, of Newfound Lake, as the previous poster has indicated. A lovely little trail!
