| Dog-Related Notes: |
Crossed paths with a friendly dog with a pair of hikers. If your dog likes mud they'll enjoy these trails. There is one short scramble on Mahoosuc Trail north of the summit that they'll probably need some help getting up and down. |

| Comments: |
The trail through the hardwoods is now covered in a thick layer of leaves. Care is needed navigating the bogs on Mahoosuc Trail, particularly the section south of the summit. There are multiple paths on the vegetation where the bridges are broken, submerged, or missing entirely. Trekking poles are helpful for feeling around for solid footing, but at times walking in mud ~8" deep (good idea to make sure your shoes are laced tightly here). The plane crash site is worth checking out. |
