I don’t always drive up to the trailhead (because it’s easy to park by the Irving), but I did today. The access road has two drainages that are very deep and very narrow - go slowly! |

Thank you to the kind soul that removed the blowdown just below the spring spur, and sending virtual hugs to whomever had the axe party between Starr King and Waumbek! This trail is looking FINE! :) |

A rainy day is always a good day for Starr King / Waumbek. I briefly worried that I would ruin my perfect 7 for 7 streak of having absolutely no views from Starr King, but happily that viewpoint was mostly/completely socked in both times that I passed by. The highlight of the day was seeing BlueCollar4Hiker and having a chat!! |
