Trails clear of debris and blowdowns BUT the mud pits between the peaks are stupid deep and wide. Plenty of trees to build bog bridges why can't this trail be fixed up just a little? |

We experienced all weather today. Started out in breaking sunshine that went away well before we reached the summit. High dark clouds, view was actually really good for the dull light. Mt. Washington was shining bright WHITE and looked like the only place the sun was shining. Nearing the summit the moss in the trees held on to the snow from the weekend.
Trip out and back to East was slow. Wet rock and deep wide mud pits. On our return it started spitting sleet/snow for about five minutes and then switched to rain for a few more minutes. Luckily it stopped and the wind disappeared too. Cool raw day.
Saw a few people out there. Two gals at the trailhead we never saw again, a fellow working on this 4 season/grid, hardcore man zipping up that couldn't take the time to make eye contact but did say Hi and the nice guy with the dog.
Nice day with my niece and her husband but it was a long hike.
