Parking/Access Road Notes: There are two dips on the access road in to the trailhead parking. OK for all vehicles at slow speed

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in great condition. RMC cleared the blowdowns I saw in the Spring. There are no trees across the trail.

Comments
Comments: There was a considerable covering of leaves on the trail up tp the traverse at 1.4 miles from the trailhead. The leaves were wet in the AM. Uphill from the beginning of the traverse it was primarily conifer forest with not much leaves on the trail.
Some mud but none of it significant
Nice views of the Presidential Range from the open area on Starr King and at the blowdown area just beyond the Mt Waumbek summit.
Among the hikers today there was a veteran's group, two hikers from Ukraine (not hiking together), a couple from Dartmouth MA, a couple from Lancaster NH, and Annie from Annie.
