Comments
Comments: Pre-sunrise start to avoid the hordes. BLT was dry and Margaret loved the scrambles-only needed one small boost on a really tall one. Weather was superb we were in shorts/tee shirts in the dark. Final hurrah for fair weather I think! Rollins was a bit wetter but still fairly dry. Started seeing folks on Passaconoway. View Spur was very muddy but worth the extra vert as always. Forgot how steep Walden is the entire length-what a fun trail. Once we got below the big view ledge on Wonalancet we were practically swimming through leaves-it was nuts and made for very cautious/slow going through that extremely rocky section of trail. Margaret wanted to trail run the last half mile so we raced to the truck and as usual she just barely beat me:) 29/30 for the kiddo on a magnificent day in the Sandwich Range!
