Comments
Comments: Congratulations to the Gilmanton Conservation Commission for all of their hard work completing the trail system at Cogswell Mtn. Conservation Area. The public was invited to explore the trails today and they had a great turnout.

Aside from two tiny mud patches near the start, Red Trail was very dry with a pretty heavy leaf cover in spots. I have been on the other trails but didn't hike them today. There is still some good foliage color in the beeches here but the leaves are dropping quickly.

Good to see folks out enjoying these new trails and an nice to chat with members of the commission, which included one of the landowners. Thank you for allowing public access to your land!
