The only notable blowdown is along the ridge trail a short distance above the crossing of Falls Rd. As luck would have it, when I got back to my car the SPNHF land steward was at the trailhead and I let him know. |

Out-and-back along Hedgehog Ridge today, although I didn't go all the way down to Hedgehog Mountain Rd. at the north end. I looped back via Woods Road up to the ridge, then did the short and easy bushwhack to the off-trail high point, which is on the NH 1,000-Footers list. The register is in good shape.
These trails started off damp from yesterday's rain but were drying out quickly. Mud was very minimal. Lots of leaves are down but there are still nice patches of bright yellow beech color.
It was nice to see the return of the sun after what seemed like an extended period of overcast skies recently. |
